Interested in becoming a part of the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation?

The Board: The Civic Foundation Board is a group of 17 community members who meet on a monthly basis to plan all of our community events. The Board selects event dates, makes the budget, votes on larger expenditures, and selects grant and scholarship recipients. There are currently no openings on the Board, but an application link will be published on this page when we are seeking new members.

The Volunteer Team: The Civic Foundation Volunteer Team is a group of community members who help organize and run all of our great events! Volunteer team members can attend monthly board meetings, but it is entirely optional. All that we ask is that as a Volunteer Team member you help out with one event per year in some capacity, whether that is serving drinks at a beer tent or helping runs a kids game at the 4th of July Festival. If you are interested in joining the Civic Foundation Volunteer Team please fill out this form so that we can add you to our email list:

Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation Code of Conduct for Volunteers

  1. Integrity - We rely on community volunteers to make our events happen.  If you sign up, then please show up for your assigned shift, stay the whole time, and make room for the next volunteer when your shift is over.

  2. Patience - Remember that we are a local, volunteer led non-profit trying to make Whitefish Bay a better place to live.  Try to be understanding about mistakes or delays with events, and be mindful of our limited resources.

  3. Respect - Always be respectful in all of your interactions with event attendees.  If an interaction is getting heated, then find a Foundation board member who can take over and make a polite exit.

  4. It's all about the fun!!! - At the end of the day, whether it's the 4th of July or Pumpkins, we're all about having a good time with our friends and neighbors.  Make sure that you are always doing your best to make each event a fun and safe place to be!
